B&Q

A new brand concept

B&Q are the leading home improvement and garden centre retailer in Europe and the third largest in the world, with 321 stores in the UK, 9 stores in Ireland and more than 60 stores opened internationally.

We developed a new brand concept for B&Q, to explore the opportunities of creating a complementary offer to their established warehouse stores appealing to a wider audience.
The name and identity, ‘the diy store – a B&Q Company’, introduces the new format whilst making the relationship to the parent company clear. The concept creates a smaller, more flexible environment with the focus on convenience, service and information.

It is a female friendly store with inspiring, colourful graphics and merchandising displays combined with a strong value/price message.

Our work covered all aspects of brand identity, architecture, interior and exterior environments, planning, signage, customer communication and point of sale.
