



Russian Standard Bank dominates the consumer finance sector in Russia with more than 25 million loan customers. It is one of the country’s most profitable privately held banks.
Following rapid expansion, Russian Standard Bank recognised the need to redefine profile, image and corporate signature. They also saw an opportunity to develop a retail bank design strategy targeting a mass-market audience.
We created a new retail bank format and modular branch concept with a coordinated visual language across all primary customer facing components and marketing media.
Four key customer interfaces were identified: bank branches, self-service mini branches, kiosks and agent desks located within retailers. A clear change strategy was agreed with the client to enable easy and cost-effective implementation and expansion.
As a result of the success of the project, we were briefed to review the relationship between the high profile and well-known vodka brand, Russian Standard Vodka, which is the ‘mother brand’ to the bank. This led to a major change in the positioning of the brand communications and customer collateral, to ensure a distinctive and individual approach and personality.
